This workshop offers a unique opportunity for participants to engage directly with local artisans and explore the art of pottery-making.The objective of the pottery workshop is to provide participants with hands-on experience in pottery-making techniques under the guidance of skilled local artisans. Through this immersive experience, participants will not only learn the fundamentals of pottery but also gain insights into the cultural significance of this ancient craft.
This workshop is for all who want to try their hands on pottery. It is open to people of all skill levels. No prior experience is required to participate in this workshop. In a one-time pottery workshop, you will learn the basic techniques for working with clay and creating pottery pieces. You will learn how to prepare clay for use, how to center it on the pottery wheel. You’ll learn how to use the pottery wheel to create shapes such as bowls & pots, Techniques used for shaping an article using hands & fingers.There is nothing that needs to be carried by you for the workshop. Tools and materials will be provided at the studio.
